CCRS Strain CSV errors: names, types, and duplicates

A Strain CSV can fail a local check because of a missing name, a reserved name, an unsupported type, or a duplicate row. These checks apply to the standalone Strain file.

Names and types

The LCB guide excludes the strain names Unknown, THC, and Other. The supported values for StrainType are Indica, Sativa, and Hybrid.

Use the actual recorded strain and classification. Replacing a placeholder with an invented name may remove a local finding without fixing your data.

Duplicate rows in one file

Preflight flags repeated combinations of license number, strain name, and strain type within a Strain file. It treats differences in name capitalization as the same name for this check.

This made-up excerpt illustrates a repeated row; it omits the submission header and is not a complete upload file. Confirm whether the repetition is an export mistake before removing it.

Already present in CCRS?

A local duplicate check cannot see earlier uploads. A file with one valid row can still refer to a strain already recorded in CCRS.

For Inventory references, the optional comparison accepts a Strain companion file. A matching row provides local evidence, not confirmation that CCRS accepted it. The standalone Inventory checker does not currently flag every reserved strain name; use the Strain checker for the name rules described here.
